Claire Casey is Global Head of Policy & Insights at Economist Impact. She manages teams on five continents, generating evidence-based insights to inform internal strategy and external engagement for governments, international institutions, corporations, foundations, and NGOs around the world. She joined The Economist Group in 2019 to lead the Economist Intelligence Unit’s public policy consulting practice. Prior to that, she founded FP Analytics, the research and analysis division of the FP Group, publisher of Foreign Policy Magazine. At FP Analytics, Casey developed a thought leadership platform for clients on issues ranging from aging societies to transnational security risks to global economic disruption. Previously, she was Managing Director of Garten Rothkopf, where she built an energy, climate, and economics policy advisory practice serving Global Fortune 500 corporations, governments and international organizations. Claire holds an MA in International Economics and International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and BA in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College. Her work has appeared in the Financial Times, International Economy, Americas Quarterly, the Telegraph, and Foreign Policy. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
