Marta Pajón Fustes is innocent’s Head of Technical and Inclusion & Diversity. Marta joined the company in 2009 as an ingredients technologist and has seen innocent grow into a fully-fledged global business. With more than a decade of experience at innocent, she currently leads the company’s global technical function (responsible for quality, food safety and sustainability) as well as directing its Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) strategy. 

Marta works alongside innocent’s ‘people team’ (HR) and other senior leaders from across the company to make I&D a business priority. In 2019, innocent set out its five core principles for I&D, using these as a basis for a company-wide action plan, and is working with a business-wide I&D community, including its newly formed affinity groups and external experts to ensure innocent becomes truly inclusive and diverse.

Marta has a background in industrial engineering and manufacturing and before joining innocent had worked across a wide range of industries, from manufacturing, to research, logistics and production planning.  

Marta moved to the UK from Spain in 2007 with the intention of staying for only a few years, but after falling in love with London, she has now been with innocent for more than 11 years. Marta was raised in Galicia in the northwest of Spain and has always had a passion for social equality which she brings to both her personal and professional life.
